9/29/23: We have extended our registration for our Battlefield Diorama Content until October 15th at Midnight! This event is for kids 7 – 17, Please register soon by using the link below.
8/31/23: Working independently or in groups of up to four, students from ages 7 -17 are encouraged to put their knowledge of French and Indian War Battles to the test by creating a battle diorama of a battle that took place during the French and Indian War.
A small amount of plastic French and Indian War soldiers will be provided for free to each entrant thanks to the support of a grant from United States Steel.
Entry to compete is free for all participants! Registration will run from September 1 until October 1.
Competition will conclude at an event hosted at Braddock’s Battlefield History Center from 1-4 PM on December 2nd, 2023 where winners will be selected. Participants in the competition will be granted free admission to this event.
Judging will be divided between three age groups: ages 7-10, ages 11-14, and ages 15-17. Two winners from each category will be chosen and their dioramas will be displayed at Braddock’s Battlefield History Center until May 1, 2024
Students can work as individuals or as teams, team categories will be judged by the highest age of the team member. Registration only requires the name of one team member, other team member names can be sent to smacintyre@braddocksbattlefield.org.
Individuals and teams should register by October 1st, 2023, soldier packets can be picked up beginning that day at the BBHC. Judging will take place on Saturday December 2nd, 2023, at the Braddock’s Battlefield History Center, 609 Sixth Street, North Braddock PA 15104.
