Braddock has green-lit several committees for council persons to lead. The public is invited to such meetings. The Parks and Rec and Civic Plaza Committee meets on the second Monday of every month via Google Meet.
This month they discussed the maintenance of the parks and they are going park by park discussing what needs to be upgraded.
As the parks are finished with their upgrades, the committee wants to host grand re-opening parties. The parks need attention as last year’s budget for all 5 parks combined was $500 and they haven’t been touched in years.
Next month they are determining several proposed places where a community memorial wall can be placed for people to pay their respects to their loved ones. This is in response to requests for memorial benches in the Civic Plaza.
