Tree Planting – TreeVitalize

FreeCalling all volunteers! A TreeVitalize grant for Fall 2023 has been approved for Swissvale! The planting date is Saturday, October 28, 2023 from 9-12. Volunteers will meet at the corner of Edgewood Ave. and Columbia Ave. to add13 new street trees to the Swissvale Urban Forest.
Tools, gloves and refreshments will be provided. Official sign-up are through Western Pennsylvania Conservancy at the link below, but walk-ins are also welcome.

Join the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy as we plant trees in Swissvale as part of TreeVitalize Pittsburgh. We’ll meet at the corner of Edgewood & Columbia aves.
Come out to help plant trees and learn about different types of native trees, proper tree planting practices and tree care. All are welcome to volunteer at this planting, which will be held rain or shine.
