River’s Of Steel – hours at Carrie Furnace vary by tour and event. Rivers of Steel is heritage nonprofit in southwestern PA. Attractions include the Carrie Blast Furnaces, Explorer riverboat, Bost Building and more. The National Historic Landmark Carrie Furnaces 6 and 7 are extremely rare examples of pre World War II iron-making technology. They operated from 1907-1978.
