12/7 – Mary’s Vine is proud to welcome a new group, The Evergreens, on Thursday, December 7th from 6-9pm. While they do love Christmas and the smell of cedar, we call ourselves The Evergreens because of the songs we play. We cover hits that have stood the test of time and have never “gone out of season” – much like evergreen trees. We put our own indie/folk twist on hits ranging from the 1950’s-1990’s (with a few modern songs in the mix). This allows us to connect with all people in an audience – young and old. 12/14 – Mary’s Vine is proud to welcome back the Etta Cox Duo on Thursday, December 14th from 6-9pm. Etta Cox has been voted “Best Jazz Vocalist” in Pittsburgh for eight consecutive years and has received the Harry Schwalb award for Excellence in the Arts, was selected as one of the 25 Most Powerful Women in Pittsburgh by Pittsburgh Magazine, voted Performer of the Year by the Pittsburgh Post Gazette, received Talk Magazine Walter Harper All That Jazz Award, Arts and Letters Award from YWCA and Lifetime Achievement Award from Covenant Church on the Hill. There is no cover charge in lieu of a $20/per person drink minimum. Showtime is from 6-9 PM, but we are open from 5-10pm and The Study at Mary’s Vine Cigar & Cocktail bar is open from 6pm-12am. 12/21 – We are proud to welcome Ronni Weiss back to Mary’s Vine. Join us on Thursday, December 21st from 6-9 pm and enjoy her beautiful music. This is often the response from people seeing and hearing Ronni Weiss for the very first time. She has been called “the little lady with the big voice” by many music colleagues in the Pittsburgh area. Ronni has been singing and playing piano throughout her life. She has done solo gigs, been part of duos, trios and full bands. Her sound is unique…rich and deep, catching the attention of the audience wherever she performs. Her favorite styles are jazz and blues, with pop covers and original tunes added in to create an eclectic and entertaining mix. There is no cover charge in lieu of a $20/pp drink minimum. 12/19 UPDATE: Unfortunately, our scheduled musician, Ronni Weiss, is under the weather, and we send her our warmest wishes for a speedy recovery. In her absence, we’re excited to announce that the talented guitarist, @Dan Baker Guitarist, will be taking the stage this Thursday! Join us from 5-10pm, with Dan playing from 6-9pm. Let’s come together to support and enjoy an evening of soulful tunes as we usher in the holiday spirit.
