Don’t trash your tree! Tree Recycling will begin in January and continue for approximately three weeks. Live trees can be placed at the curb with your trash and will be collected by the Department of Public Works on your regular trash day unless there is a snow event that requires crews to plow and salt the roads. Trees must be free of ornaments, lights and tinsel in order to be collected and chipped into mulch. If your tree is not collected on your trash day, please leave it out and it will be collected as soon as possible. Trees are not collected in the garbage trucks, but are collected in a separate pick-up truck for disposal.
