10/27/23 Update: On a cloudy, foggy late afternoon in the Pennsylvania forest, not far from Fort Ligonier, a small French unit along with some of their native allies from Fort Duquesne had come to harass Fort Ligonier by stealing livestock, and possibly cause other harm.

A Virginia regiment went out to intercede and stop this theft and possibly capture the enemy. After hearing gunfire, another Virginia unit attends to air their brothers in arms. This sets the stage for a serious issue in the fog of war. Join us, as our roundtable discusses the friendly fire incident between two Virginia militia units. Our research for the topic will be listed in the discussion section of this event!  (1) 18th Century Roundtable – Friendly Fire Incident | Facebook
8/18/23 Update: The Fall of Fort Frontenac was an incredible blow to the French in their war against the British and their fight for colonial lands in North America. This loss would be part of a chain of French losses in 1758 both on the battlefield and diplomatically. This month we will discuss the battle at Fort Frontenac, the commanders, and the impact it had on the war overall! The 18th century roundtable is an open discussion between history buffs, historians, and anyone interested in the 18th century. At our bi-monthly meetings we focus on a specific event or topic in the 18th century and discuss different aspects of the history according to research that has been done on the subject. You are not required to take part in the discussion, you can simply come, listen and learn from the discussion.
