CLOSED Until 1/5/24 – BBHC
December 29, 2023 @ 11:00 am - 4:00 pm
Free12/26/23: As a reminder, we will be closed for the remainder of 2023. We will reopen Friday, January 5, 2024. 2023 had been an amazing year for us here at Braddock’s Battlefield History Center. We have expanded our work within the community, helped many new visitors learn about the Battle of the Monongahela (Braddock’s Defeat). Educated children and adults about the French and Indian war and 18th century colonial life, and taught new arts to both children and adults. We increased our visitors by 150% and greatly increased the programming that takes place here at BBHC. In 2024, we will see our new interpretive plan, so that we can prepare for the future of Braddock’s Battlefield History Center and begin the next chapter in telling this history. We still have big plans, and much of that planning includes working with the community where we are located, and increasing the understanding of the battle that took place here beyond the British and French militaries.
12/22/23: We will be open today and Saturday 11am -4pm, you can get last minute gifts for the history nerds in your life, or stop by with family and visit the museum. Our mannequins are super excited about our Goober calendar, our friend Bill Molyneaux is running a fundraiser for us, selling these calendars of Goober the traveling bear and his adventures to many historic sites. If you would like to order one, visit the link in the comments.
