Ange Gagnon is a rustbelt sweetheart who has been obsessed with ghost signs, peeling wallpaper, chipping paint and the stories behind them her entire life.

With an original background in ceramics, she quickly realized that glazes weren’t the desired finish she wanted for her sculptures. She abandoned clay and started salvaging all of the boards and canvas she could find to start painting.

She’s been compiling layers of acrylic and paper into paintings ever since. Remembering all of her rustbelt favorites, these elements often make their way into her finished pieces.
