Christmas Tree Recycling – Swissvale Borough

Christmas Tree Recycling will begin in January and continue for about three weeks on your regular trash day unless there is a snow event that requires crews to plow and salt the roads. Trees can be placed at the curb with your trash. All trees will be chipped into mulch. Trees must be free of ornaments, lights and tinsel in order to be collected. If your tree is not collected on your
trash day, please leave it out and it will be collected as soon as possible. Trees are not collected in the garbage trucks, but in separate pick-up trucks for disposal.
