Qualifications:

• Be at least 21 years of age
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Be Act 120 Certified or have successfully completed Act 120 Training and successfully passed the final exam, thus being eligible for Act 120 Certification once hired by the Borough
• Possess a valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License
• Be physically and mentally fit to perform the full duties of a Police Officer
• Pass a background check
• Pass a psychological evaluation
• Be a United States citizen
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent (GED)

5/3/23 – Rankin Borough – Summer Labor

Rankin Borough is looking for a temporary department of public works labor. Must be 18 years of age or older and have a valid driver’s license. Duties would be grass cutting, weed cutting, installing street signs, filling potholes, emptying trash and other miscellaneous items. Prefer individual with some experience but will train. If interested please stop by the borough building between 9AM – 4 PM and fill out an application.

The Department of Public Works is looking for temporary summer help. The age requirement for summer help has been reduced from 18 to 14. Anyone between the ages of 14 and 17 is now eligible for the summer work program.  Applicants ages 14 or 15 must have written parental permission. We are offering up to 40 hours per week based on the individuals availability but will also employ those who have less availability.
