Post Croatian Day – Rankin Croatian Home

In case you have not heard, due to many problems with the venue, there will be no Croatian Day at Kennywood this year. However, there will still be our annual Post Croatian Day event at the Club on September 3rd! We are trying to compile a photo collage of our Kennywood memories to share at the event. If you have any photos, and you would like to share them with us – please either drop those photos off at the club or send us a copy of the photo via messenger on Facebook to Bob Pollack. We can’t wait to see everyone’s memories! Please identify all the smiling faces in the Kennywood pictures you share with Bobby
BAR HOURS — September 1-4
In getting the Club ready for the Annual Post-Croatian Day celebration (Sunday, Sept.3) the bar hours will be changing next weekend.
FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 1
The bar will follow normal operating hours. However, the weekly drawing will be Friday at 10 pm (members can sign the book, up to 10 pm on Friday).
SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 2
The bar will be closed on Saturday
SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 3
The BAR will open at Noon on Post Croatian Day. For those that ordered lamb, Mike Mezick and crew will be there at that time—chopping and getting your order to you.
The kitchen and upstairs hall will open at 4pm, with musical entertainment provided by the Mikey Dee Band from 4-8pm.
The music continues downstairs at 8:30 with Orkestar Zabava performing for your listening and dancing entertainment.
Also, we are planning to put together a slide presentation of Kennywood memories of past Croatian Days — as a way of saying good-by to the tradition. This will be looped on the TV in the bar room throughout the day. PLEASE send any photos that you have of your family and friends at Kennywood to:
Bobby Pollack. (You can Messenger them to him or you can drop them off at the Rankin Club if you are in the area).
MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 4
Labor Day. The bar will be closed in observance of the Holiday.
