January 29 @ 7:30 am - 5:30 pm

|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every week that begins at 7:30 am on Monday, repeating until December 30, 2024

HOST provides out of school time care to students in grades K-8 who predominately live and learn in the Woodland Hills School District. Out of school time care includes before and after school, holiday breaks, and in-service days on which the school districts are closed. While attending HOST the students are provided with an afternoon snack, guided with their homework, and engaged in age appropriate enrichment activities. All students are given the opportunity to be successful and achieve at their own progress.

Each classroom is staffed by a teacher (a college graduate with at least a bachelor’s degree in early education or elementary education, or in a related field with a child development associate (CDA)) and an assistant teacher (who has either an Associates degree in early childhood or a CDA).

The HOST program has earned a Star 4 rating, the highest available, from the Pennsylvania Keystone STARS program. HOST is a member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), Pennsylvania Child Care Association (PACCA) and the National After-School Association (NAA).
